Children’s Mental Health Summer Camp Begins Saturday

Children are invited to join the children’s mental health summer camp under the theme “Energizing the senses through play”, from July 16th to August 14th.
The National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ) and the Mental Health Department of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will organize the summer camp, which is a short course. Children between the ages of 7 and 18 can participate in this program.
The program will take place in the museum’s Learning Studio from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“During this month, mental health experts will work closely with children to introduce activities through parent-child bonding that will develop new skills while strengthening old skills, improving learning skills and communication skills and becoming more confident and independent,” NMoQ posted on Instagram.
The HMC team from the child and adolescent mental health service will lead the programme. The languages that will be used are Arabic and English.
Some of the activities that will take place include fun and creative workshops, circle hours, yoga, social communication development, to name a few.
