NPA boss Bello-Koko appoints three port directors | The Guardian Nigeria News
The interim director general of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Mr. Mohammed Bello-Koko, approved the appointment of three new port directors.
Bello-Koko, in a statement released in Lagos on Friday, said the appointments were made in a bid to revamp the operational efficiency of the port and in the quest to become the maritime hub in Africa, south of the Sahara.
The statement was signed by Mr. Olaseni Alakija, Managing Director of Corporate and Strategic Communications, NPA.
“The new appointees are Yitnoe Stanley Magaji, naval and operations technical assistant to the general manager as port manager, Onne, while Buba Jibril, former traffic manager, LPC moves to the port of Tin Island Can as port manager.
“Ovbude Nelson Uwaifo Traffic Manager, Dangote Jetty, now Port Manager, Calabar.
“The former director of the port of Tin Can Island, Mr. Yunusa Ibrahim Anji, moves to the head office as deputy director general of port engineering while Dantsoho Abubakar, former director of the port, Onne now becomes technical assistant to the director general, special duties, ”he said.
He listed other appointments to include Okaga Charles Bamidele, Senior Director, Traffic, who becomes Marine Technical Assistant and Operations to the Director General.
