The CSE again slaughtered by illiquid stocks – the Island
The annual ESOFT Metro Campus graduation ceremony was held at the Bandaranaike International Memorial Hall (BMICH) on November 23-24, 2021. A total of 1,800 students graduated at this year’s event. Successful students received their Pearson BTEC Higher National Diplomas, Pearson Level 7 Qualifications, Metropolitan University of London Diplomas and MBA (UK), Kingston University Diploma (UK) and the MSc.
It took place over two days and divided into 9 sessions, in order to be in full compliance with health guidelines. In addition to the graduation ceremony, the lot leaders received gold medals and special prizes were awarded to the best students in the programs.
The opening speeches were delivered by a distinguished group of academics and industry leaders including Mr. Conard Dias CEO of LOLC Finance PLC, Mr. Thushera Kawdawatta – CEO of Axiata Digital Labs, Dr Dayan Rajapakse – Chairman and Managing Director of ESOFT Group, Dr. Sampath Wahala – Chairman, Accreditation Council of Sri Lanka, Mr. Tishan Subasinghe – Managing Director and Managing Partner Moore Stephens Consulting (Pvt) Ltd and Moore Stephens Aiyar, Prof. AAC Abeysinghe – M.Phil. Coordinator of the doctoral program, Senior Lecturer Faculty of Management and Finance, University of Colombo.
Foreign delegates from Partner Universities were present virtually and delivered their speeches and greetings to the graduates by video. The Virtusa careers team was also present on both days to provide career opportunities for young graduates and graduates. ESOFT prides itself on producing graduates who are ready to work and able to meet the challenges and opportunities presented by the new economy.

ESOFT partnered with Kingston University in London in 2012 to offer undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in engineering and quickly established a dedicated Katubedda College of Engineering. In 2013, they partnered with London Metropolitan University to offer a range of award-winning undergraduate and postgraduate programs in computer science, business, hospitality, and travel and tourism. A range of computer science masters programs and an international doctoral program for research areas in computer science, science and engineering have also been introduced through Kingston University.
ESOFT Group has won local and international awards from Pearson (UK), BCS (UK), NBQSA, National Chamber of Commerce, Federation of Sri Lanka Chambers of Commerce in recognition of their academic excellence and performance commercial. Their flagship achievement was to be recognized by the Sri Lankan government as a non-state degree-granting institution in 2019.
