Construction of the port is expected to be completed at the end of 2021, the source continued.
The construction of the international tourist port of Kampot is financed by the ADB, which is part of the project to develop tourism infrastructure for inclusive growth in the Greater Mekong sub-region (GMS).
This international port will become a key international maritime gateway connecting the southern coastal part of the country and the province of Kampot to the world.
Once done, it has the capacity to handle around 1 million passengers and tourists.
The existence of the port will further develop Cambodian tourism, especially the resort town of Bokor in the province and other coastal destinations. Lim Nary – AKP
